The goal

Karaoke Night Out was expanding into new revenue opportunities while its founder prepared to delegate more of the day-to-day operation to a growing team. The initial need was marketing support — strengthen social media, promote events, and help new ventures gain traction.

The gap

The brand had already built momentum, but much of the knowledge behind how it operated still lived with the founder. There was a recognizable visual identity, but the team lacked the documented systems, processes, and guidance needed to execute consistently without relying on him for direction.

The challenge wasn't creating more activity. It was turning years of founder knowledge into an operation other people could confidently help run.

The BestFriend move

I stepped beyond the original marketing role and into project management and operational organization.

I identified recurring workflows, translated founder knowledge into documented processes, created official working documents, and introduced structure around how the team communicated and executed.

Instead of simply helping market KNO, I helped organize the infrastructure behind the marketing so responsibilities could increasingly move from the founder's head into a system the team could follow.

The outcome

KNO moved from primarily founder-held knowledge toward documented business infrastructure. The organization now has formal resources and processes that support delegation, team onboarding, and more consistent execution as the business grows.

The goal

Minister Alexis Brown came to BestFriend looking for marketing support for a new boutique offering affordable clothing and accessories while continuing the community giveaways that inspired the business.

The immediate goal was visibility. The deeper opportunity was positioning.

The gap

Impressed Beautique could easily have been marketed as another clothing boutique. But the story behind the business revealed something much bigger.

The giveaways weren't separate from the boutique — they were evidence of its purpose. What appeared to be a retail business was also a vehicle for serving people, providing resources, and ministering to the community.

The brand needed an identity capable of communicating both.

The BestFriend move

I repositioned the brand around the mission already living inside the business.

I developed brand assets, messaging, digital presence, and marketing materials that connected the boutique's commercial activity with its community-centered purpose — giving the organization an identity that reflected not only what it sells, but why it exists.

Rather than manufacture a brand story, I helped uncover and communicate the one that was already there.

The outcome

Impressed Beautique now has a clearer brand identity and digital foundation that support both sides of its mission: providing affordable fashion and serving its community through resources and giving.

Three business identities · One ongoing partnership

The goal

Serial entrepreneur Tamara had multiple businesses and ideas that had grown out of opportunities created during the pandemic. She needed help marketing them without losing the individuality of each venture.

The gap

What looked like several separate businesses was actually a larger entrepreneurial ecosystem that had grown faster than its structure.

The ideas were there. The businesses were there. But because Tamara was at the center of all of them, the relationships between the brands — and the distinct role each one played — weren't always easy to see from the inside.

She didn't need more ideas. She needed help organizing the ones she already had.

The BestFriend move

I zoomed out.

I helped identify the hierarchy of the ecosystem, separated overlapping ideas, and developed individual brand identities so each venture could stand on its own while still making sense within the larger vision.

That included branding, positioning, digital assets, and ongoing marketing support as the businesses evolved.

My role wasn't to replace the entrepreneur's vision. It was to help her see it from the outside, organize it, and communicate it clearly.

The outcome

What began as an interconnected collection of ideas became three distinct, growing brands with clearer identities and room to develop independently.

The Bigger WINTurning entrepreneurial complexity into a structure that could actually be communicated and grown.

Jastin Artis — Teaching Leadership logo

Eight-episode podcast campaign

The goal

Jastin Artis was already an accomplished multidisciplinary music professional with a strong body of work. The opportunity was to push the music beyond traditional listening and create additional ways for the audience to experience — and ultimately monetize — the work.

The gap

The problem wasn't the quality of the music.

It was context.

The themes inside the music were deeply connected to vulnerability, mental health, relationships, healing, and the need for men to feel heard. Simply promoting songs wasn't enough. The audience needed opportunities to experience the music in environments where those themes became personally relevant.

The BestFriend move

Instead of asking, “How do we promote the album?” I asked, “How do we help people experience what this music is actually saying?”

That led to the No Condom live events — intentionally raw conversations centered on men's mental health, vulnerability, and being heard, with Jastin's music helping set the emotional tone.

The response revealed an opportunity larger than a single event. The concept expanded into a podcast and a companion journal, creating multiple extensions of the same core message around the album.

One creative asset became the center of a broader content and experience ecosystem.

The outcome

Jastin's music gained an ecosystem of supporting digital and experiential assets capable of extending the life of the project beyond the album itself and creating additional pathways for audience engagement and revenue.

The Bigger WINTransforming music from something audiences simply listen to into something they can experience, discuss, and engage with across multiple formats.

Meet Chauntā

Chauntā Sharp, digital marketing strategist and systems builder

I help people turn where they are into where they’re going.

I’m Chauntā Sharp—a digital marketing consultant, hands-on implementation partner, systems strategist, founder, and the original BestFriend behind BestFriend in Digital Marketing.

I see what’s missing, connect the pieces, and build structure that helps the right work move.

I’ve spent more than 20 years building businesses and serving more than 3,000 clients—experience that taught me how trust, communication, systems, and follow-through shape real growth. I pair that operator’s perspective with formal training in digital marketing and public relations, so my guidance is grounded in both strategy and what it takes to make the work happen.

I can’t wait to see you win, BestFriend!

More about the BestFriend approach

Building a business can feel lonely when every platform, expert, trend, and tool is telling you what to do next. More information does not always create clarity.

BestFriend is the warm, honest, strategic experience. F.O.C.U.S. is the repeatable method for diagnosing, prioritizing, executing, measuring, and improving—so the next move fits the actual goal.
